Hi my name is Garrett! I currently serve as the Minister of Students at First Baptist Church of Wiggins, MS. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Mississippi State University in 2020. I am currently pursuing a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Above all, I am called to love Jesus. Out of this love for my Lord, I seek to fulfill the Great Commission through preaching and teaching as well as through my artwork.

I create because I was created. Since I cannot create as God does, ex nihilo, out of nothing, my creations are merely reflections. People, places, and all that we see of God’s creation inspires me. I enjoy the contrast between God-made (natural) and man-made (unnatural) elements, as well as the juxtaposition of old and new structures within expansive and confined landscapes. I love painting outdoors in the French En Plein Air style as well as in the studio.
